“I threw a party for over 200 people at the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco for my husband’s 50th birthday party and Freshly Cut did all the flowers. The fireplace mantle in the foyer was filled with seasonal flowers, candles and photos, making for a warm greeting as guests entered the event. In the dining room, all 25 tables were filled with Indian, wintry, flower displays, some of which had to be ordered from NYC. But best of all, the thing that made women shriek and run to the bathroom, were the gardenia-filled powder rooms. Janet had poured gardenias the entire 7-foot expanse of ledge above the wash basins in both the men and women’s restrooms. The rooms smelled divine, and everyone came out wearing the flowers in their hair, on their lapels, tucked in their dresses. It was the surprise hit of the party.”
