There’s nothing quite like the look and fragrance of Freshly Cut flowers to complete a dinner table, to cheer someone when they’re under the weather, as a housewarming gift or a special thank-you.
What started out as owner Janet Farina’s passion has become Freshly Cut’s core philosophy. In her over 20 years in North Berkeley, Janet’s love of flowers has led her to local, private farmers who consistently grow gorgeous seasonal flowers and plants.
Fall at Freshly Cut is my favorite season. There is nothing better than tall branches of Pistachio and Oak for great color. Sprays of rose hips, Hawthorne for red berries and bittersweet for a splash of orange. Hydrangeas are darker in color and more muted. Steel blue and burgundy are delicious mixed with Dahlias and the last of the garden roses. Just a vase of chocolate cosmos, orange fritillaries or mango colored calla lilies can take my breath away. Pomagranites on branches as a swag for your front door or a custom made fall wreath are plentiful.
In addition to the captivating flora, Freshly Cut also carries 100% beeswax candles in the shape of pears, pine cones and fir trees in all the appropriate colors. Seasonal cocktail napkins and a great new selection of handcrafted jewelry.
